Dare To Be Sassy Thursday at Sassy Studio Designs

So, so sorry about how this post came out!  I thought I saved it as a draft but I guess not!  It's Time for a Dare To Be Sassy Thursday over at Sassy Studio Designs!  Our theme this week is Feeling Funny.  I decided to use my French Maid that I've had for a while but haven't colored up yet.  There is so much you can do with her.  I thought she was so sassy that this time I decided to use her with a very cheeky sentiment.

This sexy thing is colored with copics, has some stickles on her hat, bows, and cuffs and is cut out with Nestabilities.  The lace is from Cloud 9, the pearls are from Studio 112,m and this is some of my favorite paper from DCWV's Black Current paper pack.  The flowers are handmade and the sentiment I printed from my computer.

Here's a close up of this gorgeous face.

Here's the inside.  I left enough room to write something very witty!

This card opens from the side rather than the top.  I made this card larger than I usually do so I folded the paper a little differently than I normally do.

I hope you've enjoyed her as much as I loved putting her together.  Make sure to stop over at our Sassy Studio Designs blog and see all the fabulous, funny cards my designing sisters have in store for you!  Join in our challenge for a chance to win an image or two!  We'd love to see your wit!

Tuesday Throwdown Challenge Sponsored by Creations by AR

Oh, how I love Tuesdays!  This week over at Tuesday Throwdown we are being sponsored by the fabulously talented, Adela at Creations by AR and she has the most outstanding 3D projects you've ever seen!  Our challenge was "What's In Your Basket", to create a basket, box, holder, anything that would hold something.  Such fun and I really loved making her 3-Pocket Caddy Template.

I adore this template and just had to fill it with some of my favorite Easter candy and add one of my favorite Sassy Studio Designs gal, Gaston Honey.  In the movie "Beauty and the Beast", there isn't a redeemable thing about Gaston, but I tried to soften her and had her peeking out over the handmade flowers.  I cut out the template, scored it and covered it with some really soft papers from The Rusty Pickle.  I added some lace from my stash colored Gaston Honey with copics and cut out some branches with my Martha Stewart punches.

Here's a view from the side.  I absolutely love how this caddy came out.

I used some ribbon from my stash to tie the middle together.

Here's a view of the caddy from the top.  Just think of all the possibilities you could do with this great template.  You could use it for any season, holiday, party, just because.  I think it would be great for a bridal shower or a bachelorette party and fill it with all kinds of party favors!

I plan on entering this in the following challenges:

Crafting Desert Divas - Easter Eggstravagaza
Crafty Bloggers Network - Spring or Pastels
Creative Stamp Friends - Easter Package
Cutie Pie Challenge - Easter
Incy Wincy Designs Challenge - Pastels
Tammy's Scrapping Corner - Anything but a card
Victorine Original Challenge - Anything Easter
Without Words - A Time of Renewal

I had the best time crafting with this and wish everyone had the chance to put something fabulous like this together!  I think you should head on over to the Tuesday Throwdown Challenge Blog and join in on our fun for the chance to win a great, user friendly template of your own!  Besides, you've got to go see what my designing team buddies have come up with to inspire you!  Great times to be had!

Li'l Cowboy for Elisabeth Bell's World

Everyone loves animals.  I defy you to find a person who hates all animals.  Over at the Elisabeth Bell's World Challenge Blog, our challenge is Animal Antics".  I remember getting a red stick horsey for Christmas on year and I thought I was the meanest, best riding cowgirl in town!  I went around and told everyone they needed to call me Dale Evans because I had changed my name.  I really was a pitiful site when I was little!   When I saw this sweet Li'l Cowboy from Elisabeth's digital collection, he brought back all those sweet memories of me and my wild days on the range!

This little cow poke is colored with copics and I used my Jelly Roll clear pen on his mane and bridle.  The papers are from We R Memory Keepers called Anthologie and Stampin' Up, the buttons and the brass ornament are from Close To My Heart and the bakers twine is from The Twinery.

Iwsnt he just so cute you could squeeze him to death?

Here's a close up of this sweet face.  I love his pj's!

Here's a view of the inside.
