My own little fairies

When I saw these sweet fairies at Stamping Bella, my heart melted. Little did I realize how much these babies were going to really suck me in! Two of my daughters just gave me two granddaughters and they were 16 days apart! Two totally different personalities and each one just suited my favorite little fairies. Funny how that works sometimes.

This is Eloise Greengrass and she so reminded me of Jennifer with her bright, curious eyes. I colored her in purples and lilacs because that was her favorite color. Purple everything! Every time I'd ask her what color she'd like something in, it was always purple! Eloise's face is just so stinkin cute, just like Jennifer and her Emma's is. Every time I look at Eloise I think of them.

Miss Twinkle Fairy so reminds me of Tiffany and Allie. Tiff was helping Patty, a girl who used to live with us when my ex-husband was out on deployment, wash her car. Tiff was always playful and loved to get people's attention. She yelled at Patty, "Watch me run Patty!" She was so excited to show off that when Patty turned around to see her, Patty didn't have enough time to stop Tiffany from running right into a tree in the front yard! Luckily, she'd just started to take off and only had a small bump on the head but when I was Twinkle Fairy, this story and Tiffany just came to mind. She looks like she's off to hurry to some adventure. After spending time with our Allie for a couple of days and hearing how she's developing, I think Allie's going to give her mother as many belly laughs as Tiff gave us!

Both of them were with my Prismacolor pencils and OMS. The background paper is from DCWV and I can't remember the name of the peach colored paper. I picked up the ribbons from Joann's. I used my clear jelly roll for their wings.

So these two cards are for four of the five fairies in my life, Jennifer, Emma, Tiffany and Allie. Nichole, my little snowboarder, you're next, but just you! Gosh, it's wonderful when your chidren bring magic into your life. Enjoy!

Jonalea and Betty Bombshell!

I have the best sister in the world! Jonalea is a christian, wife, mother, midwife, nurse, daughter, grandmother, aunt, cousin, friend, confidant, you name it, and if it's positive or of God, it's her. She's my rock and keeps me grounded and upbeat and always loved. Other than my mother, if I had to pick one person on earth that inspires me to be a better person, it's my sister. I'd walk through fire for her without batting an eye, wouldn't even question it. God truly blessed me with the women He's put in my life, starting with her. This Weightwatcherbella from Stamping Bella is a stamp I ordered for me but I worked up with Jonalea in mind. She's been going back to Weight Watchers to get healthy, not too look good, and she's doing it the right way. When I saw this paper, she came to mind. It reminds me of chocolate, strawberry ice cream and just everything delicious! All you have to do to find chocolate around her house is ask her granddaughters, Paige and Madelyn where to find it! And She's also a big Ohio State fan so when these prima flowers came in with my July stmap kit from Loreen at Wish Upon A Scrap I knew I had to use them for her card! I colored her with my copics and Bic markers and added some glitter with my spica clear glitter pen.

Now Betty Bombshell I got for me! She's such a beach babe! Anyone who knows me knows that all you have to do to make me happy is point me towards the water! Betty is such an out there kind of gal and I had to have her when I saw her! I also used the papers from Loreen's kit for the background and the ribbon came from the kit also. I used my crystal stickles on her wings and turquoise sparkles on her sunglasses and in themiddle of her flowers. I colored her with my Bic markers and used my SU chalks for the sky. I adore her!

It's good to be back! Enjoy this bit of summer while it's here. I live in Maine right now and the summers are way too short. Off to the beach with you!

For those that are interested, Emma is doing great and Allie gained 1 pound at her one week checkup! Everyone is happy, healthy and blessed!
